This years Alcohol Awareness Week centres on Alcohol and mental health, which is particularly relevant this year with the Covid-19 pandemic impacting everyone’s lives so severely. When things get tough, we can find ourselves turning to Alcohol to cope. But what many of us don’t realise is that drinking too much can make mental health problems worse – such as anxiety and depression- and prevent them from being properly addressed.

So for this Alcohol Awareness Week we will be looking at the issues around alcohol and mental health and also the best ways that we can look after ourselves and those we care for, during a time of uncertainty.
