Winter Assessment Service Night Support Worker 4 posts available full time, 40hrs

PRHA have been successful in winning the tender to deliver a Winter Assessment Service in the City. This would be for a minimum of 5 months, and the service hours on-site will be from 6.30 pm to 07.30 am.

There is a real development opportunity for being an integral part of setting up and delivering a person-centred service to some of the more complex individuals currently on the streets.

You will have the opportunity to enhance the delivery of your current skills in

  • Assessing and delivering trauma-informed care and agreeing the support  provided
  • Delivering a holistic understanding of our guests underpinned by your caring approach and ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Deliver a flexible and adaptable service that delivers the best outcomes for our guests.
  • Ensuring the ongoing wellbeing and safety of our guests are integrated into delivery, particularly with regards to ongoing meaningful activity and support in regards their move on.

The Post is

Winter Assessment Service Night Support Worker 4 posts available full time, 40hrs

The salary is £22,750 (Hours 18.30 – 7.30 am)

Duties include assessing and developing support plans, risk assessments and suggesting possible move on pathways for our guests.

The rota pattern will be three nights on four nights off then four nights on three nights off.

Various locations within Tower Hamlets, Hackney & the City areas.

We have various opportunities for relief locum staff within our projects & supported housing services for people with a wide range of support needs (including those with mental health or substance abuse issues, single homeless people/Rough Sleepers and Young People).

As relief locum staff you will need to be flexible and be able to cover shifts at short notice, and be able to travel to different locations as and when necessary.

Project Officers/ Assistant Project Officer will be expected to motivate & empower residents and have proven experience of support planning, risk & needs assessment & key working. In addition, you will be able to organise your own workload, take clear and considered decisions and communicate effectively with colleagues, residents & external stakeholders.

Project Officers/Assistant Project Officers will help residents to access community – based services & facilities & to develop lifeskills so that they can move towards recovery and independent living.  A positive, patient and caring attitude along with sound communication skills both verbal and written are essential.

Cleaning operatives will require some experience of general cleaning activities, and be able to respond to challenging behaviour calmly and safely.
