After 22 years of serving Providence Row Housing Association (PRHA) our Chief Executive Fiona Humphrey has announced that she is to retire this summer 2026.

Fiona has worked in the social housing sector for nearly 50 years, leading and developing award-winning supported housing for some of London’s most vulnerable homeless people and creating safe spaces and opportunities for thousands of residents, many working through addiction and recovery.

Under her leadership PRHA has evolved to deliver;

-Supported and general needs housing in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Southwark  and the City of London.

-A diverse range of innovative services, increasing engagement and satisfaction.

-Powerful local partnerships, co-produced with residents.

Key to her success is PRHA’s strong positive working culture. Fiona and her team have created a work environment where diversity is celebrated and staff feel they belong and want to make a difference. PRHA has recently been re-awarded a Gold Investors in People, Investing in Well-Being in Silver and the LGBTQ+ pledge pioneer status.

Highly respected within the social housing sector, Fiona has built an impactful network of community links and partnerships throughout her career and has always focused on putting residents needs first, collaborating to ensure the long-term sustainability of the supported housing sector. Proactive in sharing her expertise, Fiona has also served on the Boards of several housing associations and is currently on the executive of the G320 smaller housing associations group.

Fiona Humphrey, Chief Executive said;

“It has been an absolute honour to work alongside our amazing teams and residents to achieve values driven, life-changing supported housing. I have always felt humbled by the challenges our residents face and their bravery in seeking to overcome them. I have learnt a lot from them. PRHA is a special organisation, small but mighty – everyone striving to provide the best possible opportunities for both residents and staff within safe, inclusive environments. It is hard to leave somewhere so full of positivity, learning, achievement and humour but I do need to retire sometime and this is a good time for me to hand over the reins. We have achieved so much together and have a strong Board and leadership team who will ensure that PRHA continues to thrive.”

Helen New, Chair of Providence Row Housing Association said;

“Fiona’s commitment to PRHA has changed lives. Her leadership has always been about ensuring our residents needs and driving PRHA’s work and culture.  She has proved the benefits of being a small specialist locally based housing association.  I speak for all Board Members when I say it has been a privilege to work with Fiona. Her legacy will continue in the work that we do here and we wish her the very best for the future. I’m pleased to share she will be working with us in our recruitment for PRHA’s new CEO.”
