Building the Roof Garden

In Spring 2011, the Grounded Team worked with members of the Eden Project to create a Roof Garden at the Southbank Centre in London. The Garden is on the roof of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and contains small allotments and wild flowers in 'raised beds'. The Garden was built from scratch, using tons of gravel, logs and sand. The Garden first opened to the public from May to September 2011, as part of the Southbank Centre's 60th Anniversary, celebrating the 'Festival of Britain'.
